The Challenge

As an ongoing commitment to investing in technology to support the streamlining and improvement of operational processes, Peterson, over the last 5 years have digitised a number of their primary processes.  Starting with eCargo in 2014, eCCU in 2015, eTransport 2016 and several key projects in the pipeline across 2018 & 2019 to further enhance their eLogistics offering.

Data is knowledge and Knowledge equals insights, Peterson have started to harness the power of the data captured across the applications landscape to develop a suite of internal and external BI reports and KPIs to ensure the business remains agile, informed and ready to adjust to the intelligence provided from the applications via Power BI.  This changed the dynamic of client and internal meetings moving away from static power point presentations of data to more real time interactive data, enhancing discussions and streamlining decision making

An ERP upgrade and enhancement project was also sanctioned in 2016 seeing the business migrate from AX 2009 to 2012 and roll out ERP enhancements such as self-service holiday and absence management.

Safety within Peterson is paramount ‘work safe, home safe’ and so an upgrade of the internal BMS and implementation of an incident reporting and management system were delivered in 2015.
